Anyone considering holding a last-minute wedding reception or other celebration during July, August or September will be able to book their event with NO ROOM HIRE charge.
We have more than 50 years’ experience in arranging events and our facilities include private rooms suitable for intimate parties and larger gatherings of up to 130 guests. Plus our gardens and extensive lawned area are perfect for al fresco celebrations, complete with marquee, hog roast or BBQ.

The Bird in Hand provides a picturesque country setting for your wedding reception with our function room overlooking our courtyard and garden. This family run business has over 50 years of invaluable experience ensuring your special day becomes a memorable one.
As an independent venue we pride ourselves upon our personal service which is tailored to suit your requirements. Our courtyard and garden is an idyllic area to welcome your guests with a glass of champagne. The peaceful landscaped gardens also provide a beautiful backdrop for your photographs.
Much of the original architecture and elegant décor still remains, especially in our Traditional English pub - giving you a unique and interesting venue in which to celebrate.
