ORGANIC WINES

At The Bird In Hand we are known for our extensive wine cellar, which comprises more than 50 different wines from around the world, including those from local vineyard, Stanlake Park.

Now we also stock a new range of organic wines that are suitable for vegans, vegetarians and people with allergies, since no animal derivatives are used in the fining or filtration part of the wine-making process.

Among the choice of organic white wines available is Wild Thing Sauvignon Blanc, a fresh, lively and uplifting dry white from the arid La Mancha region of Spain.
 
For every bottle of this rich, fruity wine that is purchased, a donation is made to the internationally recognised charity, The Born Free Foundation, which works around the globe to protect lions, elephants, tigers, gorillas, wolves, bears, dolphins and many more endangered species.

Other whites include the light, fresh, thirst-quenching Spanish Petit Albet Chardonnay, perfect with salads and lightly-flavoured foods and, for something a little special but very affordable, the Giolly Prosecco, a fun Italian sparkling wine.

For lovers of red wines, our organic selection includes the robust Touchstone Cabernet Sauvignon produced by star Chilean winemaker Alvaro Espinoza, and the French Morgon Cru Beaujolais Chasselay, a new line that offers great depth of flavour.
