The Bird in Hand is easily located on the A4 between Maidenhead and Reading in Berkshire.

Close to the River Thames and Windsor and on route from London, Oxford and Bath it makes a convenient stop off for thirsty and hungry travellers.

All our food is home-made from locally sourced ingredients. We cater for any Special Diets including gluten free and low fat/diabetic. We have a large variety of Vegetarian dishes and can tailor-make most to suit your tastes.

Whether dining in the Restaurant or the Bar the choice is from the same menu which offers a combination of Traditional English Fayre to European and Oriental dishes and light snacks. There are daily changing Specials which include a Roast, Pie, Pasta and Vegetarian. At lunchtime we also have a Cold Buffet for a fast and easy meal. Our Sunday Roasts are renowned and are served all day from midday to 9pm.
